I was born in Hong Kong in the year 1967. When I was just nine months old, my parents together with me emigrated to Brazil and I was brought up in São Paulo.

I did my primary and secundary school at Colégio Meninópolis, a well known school under the supervision of Catholic priests.

At Universidade Mackenzie I attained my Software Engineering Degree (1984-1988), my Postgraduate Specialization in System Analysis (1988-1990), and my Licenciatura in Computer Sciences (1991-1992).

As of 1992, I worked with organizations of different sectors (commercial, financial and medical) as programmer and/or system analyst, developing systems to fulfill their needs. I also had the experience to work as the department head of the computer services in some of those organizations.

In November 1995, I accepted an invitation to study at the University of Macau (UM). Besides, I joined the Department of Computer and Information Science (DCIS) at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) as a teaching assistant. Currently, I am a Senior Instructor in DCIS/FST.

In August 2001, I attained my MBA degree in Marketing and Strategic Management from the joint programme organized by ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal and the Faculty of Business Administration - University of Macau – Macau S.A.R. – China.

In January 2016, I attained my Master Degree in Software Engineering at FST - University of Macau – Macau S.A.R. – China.

At the academic year of 2003/2004, I was awarded with the Teaching Award in the Faculty of Science and Technology by the University of Macau.

During these years, I had played different roles in UM, such as the Coordinator of Portuguese Speaking Countries Exchange Program at FST during the period from Sept/2007 to Jul/2012, and I was also the General Education Course Area Coordinator for Information Technology & Knowledge Society at UM, from the period Dec/2011 to Ago/2015.

I am also a Fellow for Stanley Ho East Asia College of UM. For more details, click in my CV [, 1KB].

I like several kinds of sports especially volleyball and soccer. I also like a good chat, people with good sense of humor, music (mainly 80's), movies, funny and inspiring quotes and good food!!
