CALL for Ph.D. Study and PostDoc Position in UM

Research Topics:

· Fractional Order Partial Differential Equations

· Functions of Matrices

Financial Support:

· Ph.D. students: MOP12,500/month (before qualify exam) or MOP14,000 (qualified).

· Postdoctoral fellows: MOP 20,000—30,000/month, dependent on the experience and performance.

Requirement for PhD students:

English (necessary): CET 6 (passed) or TOEFL (80 or above) or IELTS (6.0 or above).

· General admission: Master's degree in Mathematics (or equivalent)-- knowledge of numerical analysis, MATLAB -- in particular knowledge for numerical methods for PDEs and numerical linear algebra, Fortran77 or C language.

· Direct admission: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in the good universities, with GPA 3.5 or above in major mathematical subjects -- knowledge of numerical analysis, C or C++ language.

Requirement for Postdoctoral Fellows:

· Ph.D.degree in computational mathematics (or equivalent)-- knowledge of numerical methods for PDEs and numerical linear algebra, MATLAB -- helpful knowledge for fractional order PDEs, Fortran77 or C or C++ language.

· CV, personal statement with motivation, two references.

· One year contract which can be extended to three years.
